Now that the Harford County Land Use Plan was updated and adopted this past Spring, the Harford County Council has launched the start of Harford County Comprehensive Rezoning. At the request of the County Executive, Bill No. 16-022 was introduced by the Harford County Council on August 16, 2016. The public hearing on the Bill will take place at the County Council Chambers on September 20, 2016 at 6:45 P.M. Applications for rezoning requests will begin on December 12, 2016 and end on February 10, 2017. Thereafter, public hearings will be scheduled. When those hearings culminate, the County Executive is expected to deliver legislation to the Harford County Council in September of 2017. Final action by the County Council is expected in October or November of 2017.
