Kevin Mahoney and Laura Bechtel to Present at the Third Annual Harford County Civics & Law Academy

Kevin Mahoney and Laura Bechtel will be presenting at the annual Civics & Law Academy, sponsored by the Harford County Bar Association at Edgewood High School on April 17, 2015.  They are among the local volunteers who teach a section of the program to high school students from across the county.  The program, designed to coincide with Harford County high schools’ civics and government classes, provides students with the opportunity to select workshops of their choice to attend.  Kevin Mahoney and Laura Bechtel have, again, selected the timely topic of “Law in the Cyber Age” as their workshop, and will engage students in discussions and debates regarding their social media accounts, college and prospective employer access to social media accounts, the use of cell phones in public schools, and the realties and dangers of data collection by mass marketing firms and the government.
