Snee, Lutche, Helmlinger & Spielberger, P.A. is excited to announce the addition of Rebecca “Becky” Iiams to the SLH family. Becky brings over 34 years of legal experience and more than 25 years of personal injury experience to the firm, allowing SLH to expand its service offerings into personal injury litigation.

Ms. Iiams began her career as a legal assistant, a few months after graduating from Fallston High School, at the law firm of Venable, Baetjer & Howard LLP, now known as Venable LLP. Spending eight years at its Bel Air office, Ms. Iiams then moved to Iowa, and later Florida, working for various law firms, including an insurance defense attorney, from 1994 to 2004. Since 2004, she has worked exclusively on personal injury cases. The unique perspective Ms. Iiams gained from working on the defense side of personal injury has allowed her to develop a keen ability to anticipate how an insurance company will react to and handle personal injury claims, making her an invaluable resource for personal injury attorneys.

A native Marylander, Ms. Iiams finally returned to her home state in 2018, reconnecting with Joseph Snee, partner and shareholder at Snee, Lutche, Helmlinger & Spielberger, P.A. Mr. Snee & Ms. Iiams worked together at Venable in the early 1990’s.  Knowing the good reputation and ideal location of his firm in the heart of Bel Air, she was thrilled to take a position as a paralegal, where she will assist attorneys Joseph Snee, Gail Spielberger and Laura Bechtel with personal injury litigation matters.

The daughter of a pastor, Ms. Iiams has always been an active member of her church and looks forward to finding a new congregation in Harford County where she can continue pursuing charitable activities. When she is not spending time with her 20-year-old son, Daniel, two dogs, Asher and Gracie, and cat named Doodle, Ms. Iiams enjoys renovating and redecorating her new home in Perryville and learning more about her family’s genealogy.

The attorneys at SLH are eager to provide personal injury representation that will help further the great relationship the firm has with the residents of Harford County by providing cost-effective services that meet the legal needs of their clients during vulnerable and complicated times. Of these latest developments, Joseph Snee said, “We are excited to welcome Becky Iiams to the SLH family and know that her extensive legal experience assisting in personal injury matters will provide great benefit and service to the residents of the Harford County community.” Click here to learn more about the personal injury practice at Snee, Lutche, Helmlinger & Spielberger, P.A.
