Attorney Spotlight: Joe Snee

Joseph F. Snee Jr., a Shareholder at SLH, is one of the leading real estate and development attorneys in Harford County, a reputation acquired as the result of more than three decades of legal service to the local community. He has extensive experience in land use, real estate, landlord/tenant, business, construction, criminal, liquor license and litigation.

Outside the office, Joe is extremely active in the local business community. He is a huge fan of the Maryland Terrapins and Baltimore sports teams. Joe is married and the proud father of two.

If I was a dog, I would be: A corgi, they are fun, personable and take care of their own.

I dabble in: Landscaping.

My guilty pleasure is: Tailgating football and basketball games with my fraternity brothers at College Park.

Favorite bad TV show: Two and a half men.

My favorite character: Arnie from LA Law.

My least favorite trend right now is: Kneeling during the anthem.

A trend that I miss the most is: Saying “Merry Christmas” instead of “happy holidays.”

If I could accomplish anything this year, it would be to: Booking a direct flight to Florence, Italy for the whole family.

Favorite quote: “The only man to get all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.”

The best part of my job is: All my coworkers.

Favorite movie as a child: Sound of music.

If you could wake up tomorrow and be in someone else’s body, who would you be?  Elon Musk.

If you had more time, what would you do?  Spend time with my family.

Favorite books? The Da Vinci Code.

What makes you cringe?  Heights.

What super power do you wish you had?  Create a force field, to block out negative people.

Favorite family tradition? My father’s Sunday Christmas brunch at the Maryland Golf and Country Club. So we get together to eat, drink and be merry.

Words you live by: Do good (the sign hangs above his door).

How many pairs of shoes do you own? About 20 pairs.

What book are you reading? Maryland’s guide to zoning decisions (I don’t read often).
For pleasure I do enjoy the Wall Street Journal.

What do you want written on your tombstone? Proud brother, son, husband and father.

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received? My wife and kids re-decorating my man cave with University of Maryland Terrapin gear.

Do you have a go-to karaoke song? Nope, never. I cannot sing to save my life. I’m scared to sing in church fearing I might scare people away.

Describe your ideal weekend: Visiting my son who goes to UMD College Park to tailgate with my wife, son and fraternity brothers. We have season tickets to both football and basketball.
