Joe Snee and Laura Bechtel were again among the local volunteers who assisted in bringing life-like DUI mock trials to area high schools amidst the 2017 Prom season.  For 30 years, Judge Stephen M. Waldron, retired Associate Judge of the Harford County Circuit Court, has led teams of local attorneys and prosecutors in putting on DUI mock trials with facts involving a post-Prom party that highlight the negative repercussions from bad decision-making about drinking and driving.  “As Jude Waldron says each year, if we can reach one student and save even one life, then the program continues to be worth our time,” Bechtel says. In 2014, the DUI Mock Trial Program won the Maryland State Bar Association Local and Specialty Bar Liaison Committee’s Best Service to the Public Project Award.
